DMC Introduces Lauren Lockhart as Interim Executive Director

The DMC is happy to welcome Lauren Lockhart in her new role for the Mathews Center! She will serve as the Mathews Center’s interim executive director while Executive Director Rachel Mosness is on maternity leave.

Lauren Lockhart works as the DMC’s Education Coordinator, and previously served as the DMC’s 2022-2023 Civic Fellow. A native of Bethlehem, Georgia, Lauren graduated in Spring of 2022 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Administration with a minor in Peace, Justice, and Ecology. During her time at UAB, she had the chance to learn from a variety of backgrounds, both through courses in the Global & Community Leadership Honors Program and the Masters of Public Administration Department. Falling more in love with the state everyday, Lauren is thrilled to continue to get to know and serve the people of Alabama.

Please join the DMC staff and Board of Directors in welcoming Lauren in her role! If you’d like to get in touch with Lauren, you can email him at llockhart@mathewscenter.org.
