Joyce E. Brooks is owner and managing member of Brooks Consulting, LLC whose mission is to assist businesses and organizations gain a competitive advantage by focusing on leadership development, organizational strategy, and individual well being. Joyce is best known for developing customized programs on stress awareness, managing change, leadership development  and team building. In her role, she has presented keynote speeches, developed and facilitated training workshops and provided project management services to a variety of audiences. Some of her clients include the University of Alabama Center for Economic Development, Birmingham City Public Schools, Alabama Municipal League, Alaska Municipal Clerks Association, Tennessee Municipal League, Georgia Power Company, National Association of Motor Coach Operators, City of Gardendale Leadership Program, Birmingham Water Works, and the Caribbean Utilities Company. Joyce E. Brooks holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Alabama and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Joyce retired from Alabama Power Company after 21 years of loyal service. Joyce is the author of “Self-Inflicted Overload”, “Stress Less and Live More”, “It Ain’t Over!” and “Shift Happens”. Joyce has now set her sites on encouraging the next generation with  the release of her first children’s/young adult books titled, “The Power of Two Words – A Little Motherly Advice” and “Mr. Brown, Will You Please Open The Door!”
