Sulynn Creswell is the Executive Director at Black Belt Treasures Cultural Arts Center. She has worked with the organization since April 2005, she oversees the overall operations of the organization and has been actively involved in establishing the online & store galleries, building a pool of over 500 Black Belt artists, encouraging the growth of arts education programming, and promoting the one-of-a-kind cultural center. Sulynn is a graduate of Judson College with a degree in Interior Design/Clothing & Textiles. After working in these fields in Birmingham for several years, she returned to her alma mater first as an Admissions Counselor, & finally as Vice President for Personnel & Student Services from 1988 to 1998. From 2000 to 2005, she was the owner, manager, & buyer of Cottage Interiors – a home accessories & gift shop, in Camden, AL. Creswell currently serves as a board member for DesignAlabama and the Alabama Folklife Association. She serves as Vice President of the Wilcox Area Chamber of Commerce, co-chair of the Camden Downtown Revitalization Team, co-treasurer of Wilcox ArtWorks, and is a member of the Wilcox Historical Society. She is also avidly involved with the Alabama Black Belt National Heritage Area Taskforce.
